JEWEL OF THE DAY - Krobo Pinks

JEWEL OF THE DAY - Krobo Pinks: These three–hundred-year old pink beads are strung with two 18K white gold 10mm diamond ball clasps set with approximately 6 carats of fine diamonds. It can be worn as a choker or two bracelets. The beads are made by the Krobo and are known as Krobo Powder Glass beads from Ghana, Africa c. 1750. $15,000.00

This unique collection marries Ancient African Glass trading beads dating from the early 1600s to the turn of the 20th century with a mélange of clasps including: diamond and gem encrusted balls, Art Deco, Vintage and Edwardian diamonds, and solid gold. Joseph Knight sources rough beads; some buried for centuries in the rich African soil and gives them new life. The sublime contrast is a wearer’s delight. Knight&Hammer developed the motto: Jewelry with a Conscience A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each piece of Le Mal Afrique is a donation towards building wells in Haiti through www.FOKAL-USA.org, giving entire communities a fresh source of drinking water. Each piece is housed in a handcrafted leather box created by a tribe in Senegal, Africa which helps to build their local economy.

Coco Talon models Knight&Hammer's Le Mal Afrique with K&H Private Jewelers' Edwardian era Champagne Locket in platinum, diamonds and onyx for $28,000.00.
